Arrival dock — the original architectural vision for Isabella Caye

Original architectural vision

The Vision

Before Isabella Caye took shape, it was imagined in detail.

Every great place begins as an idea. Isabella Caye was conceived as a complete Caribbean destination — not a collection of buildings, but an interconnected private island resort shaped by colour, water, and the rhythm of tropical life.

These renderings express the original design vision that guided every decision that followed.

The Master Plan

An Island Conceived as One

From the earliest drawings, Isabella Caye was imagined as an interconnected destination resort rather than a collection of unrelated buildings. Streets, waterways, gathering places, and private overnight guest units flow together — each element considered in relation to the whole.

The plan positions the island between open Caribbean water and sheltered mangrove channels, creating distinct experiences on every shore.

Arrival by Water

Where the Journey Begins

The marina was designed as the island's threshold — the place where the Caribbean crossing ends and island life begins. Boats rest in sheltered slips while the colourful resort rises beyond the dock.

The connection to the sea is immediate and constant. This is a destination reached by water, shaped by water, and always in conversation with the tides.

The Heart of the Resort

Gathering, Movement, Shared Spaces

At the centre of the vision: places designed for connection. The pool courtyard anchors the social life of the island resort — a space where paths cross, conversations begin, and the day unfolds at its own pace.

Beachfront Life

Where the Sand Meets the Resort

The beachfront was envisioned as the island's living edge — colourful buildings opening directly onto white sand, palm shade, and the gentle Caribbean shore. Not a boundary, but a seamless transition between built and natural worlds.

Welcome

The First Impression

The reception is designed as an open, welcoming threshold — a place that will immediately communicate the character of the island resort. Warm materials, natural light, and views through to the water beyond.

From the moment of arrival, the architecture sets the tone: relaxed, colourful, and unmistakably Caribbean.
